Feeling God's Love

Christmas evokes many emotions for us. It creates so many expectations and reminds us, inevitably, of our losses. As a result, Christmas can find you arguing with the ones you care about most. If this happens to you, see if you can just stop the next annoyed words from coming out of your mouth. Instead, say: I love you.

All you or I or our loved ones want is assurance we are loved. We don’t have to be perfect – whatever that is – all we have to do is BE.

So give this gift to those around you.

We are all in this world together. If you have a chance to open a door for someone, smile or show kindness, please risk it. You will make the world a better place as a result. It is the beauty within you that is needed far more than what you can buy.

If you find you feel too glum or besieged to be able to dig deep inside yourself for that love, then take time for a little self care.

Go now, right now, into a quiet room. If you’re cold, throw a blanket over yourself. Make yourself comfortable. Sit in a chair with your feet on the floor, put your hands, palms down, on your thighs and just breathe.

Think about how it might change your life if you could actually feel the love God has for you.

Then take three slow breaths and close your eyes.

Focus your attention on your heart and just send love to our Source and Creator.

You don’t have to feel it. Your intention is enough.

If other thoughts intrude, just replace any thought with: I love you, God.

Just breathe and relax. And know there is nothing more important you could possibly be doing than this.

When we are stressed, when we feel unappreciated, it is very hard to feel love for others.

When we feel love from others, our own love blossoms.

By sending love to God you will strengthen your conscious connection.

Sit like this for just five minutes, although you can sit longer if you are enjoying it (I do) and just take time to connect.

Do this every day and, over time, you will become more aware of that amazing Presence that is always with us.

Ask God for that grace which will allow you to feel the great unconditional love that is felt for you.

These are just words now, but when you feel the sweetness of that love, when you really get that God sees you as perfect, it is very freeing. And it allows you to begin to glimpse others in this same way.

Christmastime is so busy. But take time for love. Take time to feel God’s love for you and your love for yourself. You deserve it.

Please continue to affirm and visualize that James Loney, Harmeet Singh Sooden, Tom Fox, Norman Kember, Susanne Osthoff and her driver are all freed and safe.

Love,
Clyo
